About this category
Why stainless
steel
Laser-cut, pressed and argon-arc welded SUS 304 and 316 — the stainless steel water tank you specify when the water has to leave exactly as it arrived. Hospitals, hotels, food plants and municipal supply ask for it, built as a welded single shell or as a bolted sectional panel tank where the door is narrower than the tank.
- Nothing leaches into the water, and nothing stains the tank
- SUS 304 for potable duty, 316 and 316L for chloride and coastal sites
- Argon-arc welded seams, pickled and passivated after fabrication
- 0.15 to 200 m³, welded shell or bolted sectional panels
- Sectional panels pass through a standard service door
- Food-grade surface that cleans back to bare metal, year after year

How every tank is built, stage by stage
Four stages under one roof, from flat plate to a tested tank on a pallet. The same route runs for every material in this catalog — only the tooling and the weld change. Nothing is subcontracted at any stage.
- Cutting & forming Plate laser cut, punched and rolled to the drawing.
- Welding & assembly Argon-arc seams, squared and fitted in jig.
- Coating & finishing Pickled, passivated and polished before it leaves the bay.
- Testing & dispatch Filled, leak tested, documented and packed for the container.
Every stage happens in our own plant in Wucheng, Shandong.

Tested by an institute that does not work for us
Our stainless steel water tank was sent for drinking-water contact testing to a CMA-accredited state institute — and the inspection behind that result runs on every tank we build.

See catalogStainless steel water tank questions, answered by the factory
The questions buyers ask before a stainless steel water tank is quoted, answered with the figures our own inspection sheets use.
Ask our engineersWhich grade of stainless steel water tank should I specify?
SUS 304 covers most drinking water and hot water duty. Move to SUS 316 or 316L where chlorides are present — coastal sites, swimming pool plant, some process water — because the added molybdenum is what resists pitting. 316L is the low-carbon variant, preferred where the stainless steel water tank has long welded runs. Plate composition follows ASTM A240. Tell us the water chemistry with the size and the grade is recommended against it.
What capacities and plate thicknesses are available?
A stainless steel water tank is built to order from 150 L up to 200 m³, in plate from 1.5 to 4.0 mm (standard; up to 8 mm by design). Nothing is built to a size chart: the footprint, the height and the plate schedule are all set by the volume, the head and the room the tank has to fit. A stainless steel water tank can be supplied as a welded single shell or as a bolted sectional panel tank where the door is narrower than the finished tank.
How are the seams made?
Argon-arc welded, then pickled, passivated and polished in house. Pickling removes the heat tint left by welding and passivation restores the chromium oxide layer that makes stainless steel passive in the first place — skip either step and a stainless steel water tank will stain along its seams within a season. Every argon-arc seam is inspected before finishing, and the shell is squared and fitted in a jig rather than on the floor.
Is the water safe to drink?
Yes. Our stainless steel water tank was sent for drinking-water contact testing to a CMA-accredited state institute and the result is issued as report SP2630498 against GB/T 17219-2025 with the order. Nothing leaches from a passivated stainless surface and nothing stains it, which is why hospitals, hotels, food plants and municipal supply specify a stainless steel water tank where the water has to leave exactly as it arrived.
What temperature range does it handle?
Stored water from 0 to 100 °C, which covers chilled, ambient and domestic hot water duty. Insulated builds are available where the stored temperature has to be held rather than simply contained. Say what the working temperature and the cycling pattern are when you send the size, because a hot water stainless steel water tank is detailed differently from a cold store.
What certifications does it carry?
Every stainless steel water tank ships against ISO 9001:2015, certificate 07624Q0960R3S-SD/001, with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 on file — ISO 9001 sets out what that standard covers. CE marking is held against EN 13280:2001 under ICR/VC/HS2506113, and LVJIA is an SGS verified supplier. Every plate is logged to its mill certificate.
How is it inspected, packed and shipped?
Each stainless steel water tank is filled, hydrostatically leak tested and held before dispatch. Weld seams, plate thickness and overall dimensions are measured against the approved drawing, and material traceability runs back to the mill certificate for every plate. The tank is then packed and shipped from the LVJIA plant in Wucheng County, Dezhou, Shandong, welded whole or flat-packed as a sectional kit.

Tell us the capacity, the grade and where the tank is going. An engineer — not a sales script — replies with a layout, a bill of materials and a delivered cost.
