In numbers
Galvanized steel water tanks for big volumes, bolted on site

Every galvanized tank is pressed to the drawing, inspected before it ships and packed flat for the container.

As a hot dip galvanized water tank manufacturer in China, LVJIA builds HDG water tanks from one-piece pressed Q235 steel panels. The panels bolt together with non-toxic rubber seals, with no welding on site, into HDG sectional water tanks from 1 m³ to 3,000 m³. Epoxy inner lining and insulation are available for fire reserves, farms, construction sites and industrial storage.

Advanced Equipment & Technology
The machines behind every LVJIA galvanized steel panel
Production equipment, automation and forming technology. Cutting, hydraulic pressing, automatic punching, bending and robotic handling turn Q235 plate into pressed steel panels that bolt together without welding.
From steel plate to site in six controlled stages
Hot dip galvanized water tank manufacturing at LVJIA follows the same six stages for every order, and each stage is checked before the next one starts.

Plate selection & cutting
Q235 steel plate is chosen at 2–5 mm, depending on the tank’s height, then cut and weighed out into panel blanks.

E***n, Netherlands · verified purchaseHot dipped galvanized water tank questions, answered by the factory
The questions buyers ask us most often before a hot dipped galvanized water tank is quoted, answered with the figures our own inspection sheets use.
Ask our engineersWhat is a hot dipped galvanized water tank?
A hot dipped galvanized water tank is a bolted, sectional tank built from Q235 carbon steel panels that are stretch-formed in one piece and then dipped in molten zinc. Because the zinc is applied by immersion rather than sprayed on, it alloys with the steel and coats both faces and every cut edge, including the inside of the bolt holes. Hot dipped galvanized water tank panels bolt together with non-toxic rubber pads and no welding, so the tank can be assembled inside an existing plant room and a damaged panel can be swapped without cutting the shell.
What capacities and plate thicknesses can I order?
A hot dipped galvanized water tank is built to order from 1 m³ up to 3,000 m³. Panel thickness follows the water height rather than the volume: 2 mm on shallow tanks, rising through 3 mm and 4 mm to 5 mm where the head and the hydrostatic load demand it. Because the panels are modular, the tank is shaped to the room you have — long and low for a basement, tall and square for a yard. Send the footprint, the head and the duty and the factory returns an arrangement drawing with the panel schedule.
Which steel grade and standard do you build to?
Panels are pressed from Q235 carbon steel plate to GB/T 700, the Chinese structural carbon steel standard, and the zinc layer follows hot-dip galvanizing practice as set out in ISO 1461. The plate is stretch-formed in a single stroke, which work-hardens the panel and gives it its stiffness without any welded ribs. Mill certificates for the plate and coating-thickness readings for the zinc are issued with each order, so a consulting engineer can check a hot dipped galvanized water tank against the specification before it ships.
Do I need an internal lining?
For raw water, irrigation, construction and most fire reserves the galvanized surface of a hot dipped galvanized water tank is the finish and no lining is needed. An epoxy inner lining is offered as an option where the stored water is aggressive, where a long dwell time is expected, or where a client specification calls for a barrier coating over the zinc. LVJIA also supplies a hot dipped galvanized water tank with a food-grade liner bag for potable duty. Tell us the water analysis and the intended turnover and the right option is quoted rather than guessed.
How long will the zinc coating last outdoors?
Hot-dip galvanizing corrodes at a predictable, slow rate, so service life is a function of coating thickness and the local atmosphere — decades in a rural or suburban setting, less in heavy industrial or marine air. Because the coating is metallurgically bonded it cannot peel or blister the way paint does, and a scratch stays protected because the surrounding zinc is sacrificial. For coastal or industrial sites the panel thickness and the zinc weight on a hot dipped galvanized water tank can both be increased at quotation stage.
Can it be used for fire water storage?
Yes, and it is one of the most common duties. A hot dipped galvanized water tank is frequently specified as a sprinkler or hydrant reserve for warehouses, factories and high-rise buildings because it is strong, fast to erect and easy to inspect. Sealed covers, a vented manhole and a separate suction connection with an anti-vortex plate are all standard options. Every finished tank is filled and held at full head before packing, and 100 per cent of finished product is inspected, so the reserve is proven watertight before it leaves Dezhou.
How long does manufacturing and delivery take?
Production runs through six controlled stages — enquiry and drawing, plate cutting, stretch forming, punching and fittings, inspection and testing, then packing and delivery — in about 15 working days from drawing approval. Panels ship flat-packed on pallets, so a hot dipped galvanized water tank bound for the Middle East, Africa, North America or South-East Asia freights no worse than a stack of plate and clears customs as steel sections rather than as an assembled vessel. Bolts, gaskets, ladders and fittings are packed with every hot dipped galvanized water tank as one kit.
